Dr. Tony Dunkel

Partner, CFO & Director of R&D

Dr. Tony Dunkel is a seasoned executive with a life-long career in information technology, organization, project leadership, and change management.

He is a doctoral candidate at Baylor University working on team collaboration maturity. He is also a business professional with extensive experience in strategic program management and tactical project management, interfacing collaboratively with all organizational levels. He has led and managed projects of all sizes and complexities, from small team efforts to large ($3B) corporate initiatives. He has a proven track record as an effective business leader.

Experience

Today, he serves as CFO & Director of R&D for DNA Consulting, a firm focusing on organizational transformation and collaboration.

Tony leverages his 25 years of experience at EDS as a change agent, developing process change and optimization strategies for organizations and improving organizational efficiency. He has held senior-level positions in two start-up companies, large corporations, and as General Manager of a successful multi-state $100m+ company with 300+ employees. Tony also served as Operations Manager and Senior Internal Consultant for Interaction Associates.

Before Interaction Associates, he was a Corporate Director of CGI, Inc., a global computer services firm based in Montreal, where he successfully pursued large international business opportunities. Tony’s executive leadership expertise, strategic planning, business development, project management, and re-engineering knowledge proved helpful in establishing this company as a viable international competitor. His past clients include General Motors, Hewlett Packard, Houghton Mifflin, Air Liquide, Curtis Wright, and numerous others.

Achievements

Tony served as the U.S. President and advisor to the Board of Nobel Peace Laureate Betty Williams’ World Centers of Compassion for Children International, helping refugee children worldwide. In partnership with the Italian government, WCCCI organized a refugee center for children in southern Italy’s Basilicata Region.

He has served as Operations Manager, Senior Consultant, and Board Member of Interaction Associates, a Boston-based collaboration consulting firm, the Bali Institute for Global Renewal in Bali, and World Centers of Compassion for Children in Ireland. He also led a Board as its President in an association on the Big Island of Hawaii for ten years.

Tony was COO of The Bali Institute for Global Renewal, an international leadership development and cross-cultural learning center headquartered in Ubud, Bali. He also served on their Board of Directors and continues to assist them as a Global Advisor today.

Educational Background

Tony received a B.S. in Accounting & Finance and an EMBA in Global Change from the University of Texas at Dallas and later served as a mentor to executives in that program. He is in his Ed. D. doctoral candidacy phase at Baylor University. Once conferred, his doctorate will be in Education and Organizational Change, emphasizing team collaboration.

He and his wife, Linda, reside in Dallas and have two daughters and two grandchildren.
